Yesterday being in the midst of idiotic people doing idiotic things really threw me for a loop.

IF there wasn't a virus going around...

BUT... yes... IF I were at a party and Jack was not available... my next would be Rum... and I might drink with coca cola.

First case in VA just reported.
 

New York Gov. Cuomo on tv now, says " all businesses to reduce work force by 50% immediately to help flow of virus. Also the medical ship --the USNS Comfort medical floating hospital to dock in New York City Harbor, 1000 beds. Also mobile hospitals to go to NYC soon.
 

There will never be enough tests or the resources to get everyone tested.

My local hospital said they have swabs (duh)..and if they ship off the sample by 10 am, they will have test results by 4 pm the same day.

They do not test everyone that shows up with a cough, or even a cough and a fever.

People that are known to have been exposed AND have symptoms will be tested.
People that are compromised in some manner AND have symptoms will be tested.

Healthy people that have symptoms will not be tested for corona virus. They will be treated under typical medical protocol, tested for other pathogens to rule out corona virus and told to to behave as if they may have the corona virus.

Is this sufficient? Don't know, but the song about there not being tests available is false.
All it takes is a swab and a private lab.

My county has only tested 5 people as far as I know. No known cases.

an ad hoc measure of criticality
but of no use wrt determining the # of cases (I understand, different purpose)
 

News not good in Broward cty.
Yesterday we had 43 cases (216 state wide)
Today we have 80 cases (314 state wide)

Dade not much better
Yesterday 39 cases
Today 76 cases

Someone had posted about a notice from there bank, going to be closing, can't remember where I saw it, & there's so many comments that say nothing, I'm not hunting for it. No problem with folks letting off steam or lowering BP venting, js…

YES, banks are closing lobbies. It may not have happened at your bank, yet.
I was on hold with my local bank, the called rolled to the call ctr...
while speaking to the lady, I noticed one branch's ph# on the internet,
changed all of a sudden from the local # to the call ctr#.
The lady on the phone said, that's because they just closed that lobby.
I got my bank on the phone, said they real slow, come on in.
The nice man at the back, I told him about talking to the call ctr lady
and that # changing, he said yes, someone there tested positive,
so they had to close the lobby down.

If you have anything you want or need to retrieve from your bank or vault.
Do it today or first thing in the morning.
