According to our local news there are no known cases of coronavirus in my area, the closest outbreak would be near New York City. There is no hand sanitizer, rubbing alcohol to be found, tho there seems to be plenty of Clorox products. Some of the larger stores have a 1 package limit on certain products. We need to remember that this outbreak will pass in time, and common sense may be huge. Wash your hands often, I use a small plastic bag on gas pump nozzle , Good luck Friends----

I went to my local Walmart yesterday. TP wiped out, as well a bleach in a jug, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, and the canned goods are taking a hit. I get all that except the TP. Did I miss something? "They'll get my toilet paper when they pry it from my cold dead hands."

Wife and I hit 2 of the grocery stores yesterday, we have enough for 3-4 weeks ----the stores were crazy--worse then xmas shopping at thanksgiving---GL & HH

I do it because I Have to get My sister to run me to the store.
No personal Transportation right Now. last week I went to the butcher, this weekend I tag along to the grocery.
then I'm good to 2nd week in April.

TP ? Got a ton. Not out of Fear, Just Stocked up With the Move.
on things I Didn't want to Have someone Run me For, Because I forgot to Buy it.
Worst Case Scenario I Do like the people in India do with My Hand & Soap & Water

Also been Buying Stuff like Deodorant, Tooth Paste Etc on Ebay

Virus reported in my county now ,and the one South.
Went to the store last night and it did look like it was either raided , looted ,or one of those multiple (hundred) people free shopping trips with time limits of five minutes.

Looks like filling freezers was the main objective. Frozen pizza among the big targets,and frozen potatoes and ice cream.
Not sure what all we brought home , but there was a small bag of frozen fish put in the tiny freezer below the fridge.

Was interesting watching people and what they were loading in their carts....

The Wuhan virus media panic makes it seem like the end times. Remember back when the H1N1 swine flu was ravaging our country? People didn't buy all the toilet paper. Games and events continued as usual. Of course, the media and the president were of the same party at that time.

In a few weeks, the outbreak will reach equilibrium and begin to ebb, and then we can all go back to our normal American lives of eating too much carbs and watching trashy TV. In the mean time, I have sank some more money in the stock market because the chance to buy a dip like this comes along only once in a decade or two. I also just bought 1000 rounds of ammo today. Not because I believe the apocalypse is on us or anything, but because without baseball to watch, I can go have some fun at the range with the kids.

This virus can be killed on surfaces with just soap & water.
The virus membrane is kinda weak, and if you scrub vigorously
back and forth, scrub, scrub, scrub, it'll rip the virus membrane
and it'll die.

If you have alcohol, cut paper towels into squares,
put them in a Ziploc baggie, squirt alcohol in, close baggie.
Travels easily.

Our Palm Beach Sheriffs Office has a website, with the most detailed
information, I have ever seen!
The section in the middle of the page, "In This Collection", has
factual info, on how to battle this mess.
I know the main part is geared to Florida, but do take time to at least check it out,
there's massive factual info, and not hyperbole or drama.

I have read, you need at least 150 proof. Rum 151 or Everclear 190, may work better.
Check the proofs...

there's also hydrogen peroxide or vinegar,
but I think their less effective, than the alcohol,
requires more scrubbing.
Check the cdc sites or this one, for exact info....
(I been reading so much.... yeah,
living in the "vacation capital of the world", doesn't help me much).

I got some hand sanitizer off Amazon yesterday, it's being delivered to my daughter in NY Monday. I went back to check the order, it's shipped but there is no more. Almost no Tylenol either. I have enough.
