Trouble with a package delivery, can someone please help?

This whole thing sucks. I'm sorry you are out the cash. Just a couple of things. Don't swear off shopping on the internet all together. It really is the future. Just fix your end situation or only order items that the seller will do a signiture confirmation. Second, class action only applies if the case is one item, like your package, and everyone else was affected by your package. Each person would be affected by only their package. Have a good day.

Well I'm out my money officially. I fought with the post office for 2 hours this morning. I've never seen people change their story and lie as much as what them people do. Had the general for our branch straight lie to me many times over.

Called ebay they said seller is not responsible for it. And since it was confirmed delivered the post office won't cover a stolen package.

So made a police report, cops said sorry bout your luck but your screwed.

Learned a very important lesson from all this today and it is this... When buying or sending a package with ANY carrier always get signature confirmation that way they can't just leave the package unattended. They will take it back to the office. Because uf someone steals your $800 dollar item off the porch your **** outta luck.
I will NEVER buy anything off of the Internet again. And from now on I'm only shipping with delivery confirmation, that way my buyer will never have to go through this and be out of their money again.

Well that's the outcome of this. Me out my money and stuff and some kids getting a laugh. All i have to say is if I ever catch the person that'll be the last time they will ever grip a pencil.... No B.S.
So I thought you said the seller would reimburse you? You have correspondence between the two of you where she is admitting to sending 2 packages to your address. Stating she made a mistake. If she doesn't reimburse you, then file a claim with a note telling them to check all correspondence amongst the two of you. Her admittance should be enough especially if she gave you a non valid tracking number the second time.

This sounds like a bs story to me btw- "QUOTE=Nickleanddime-The tracking number she gave me for the box when entered at the usps website is not available according to the usps. So the post office has it that the envelope is delivered and not the package. On her end its saying that both were delivered. To me it seems fishy that one tracking is valid and one is not, since my post office says that only one package came through this office."
-------

There is no way that she can say "on her end" that it was delivered and it not show the same on your end. That in itself is a plain outright lie as far as i'm concerned.

Yep, lots of fuss happening but still haven't got to the root of the problem, and I also suspect it likely is her!

I have been in the same shoes where the item never made it here, and I did get my money back from the online seller. Not Ebay, as that should have been put out of business years ago with their schemes. The Post Master General has a Post Master General. Have a chat with his boss, name names, times, and places. Enough complaints and the PMG will get a visit.

This thread was asking for advice not for you to say my story sounds fishy. If a thread pisses you off as you say stay off of it. As far as the facts and assumptions if you would wait for the play by play you would have heard everything. How can you make a comment without hearing the to be continued part? Your always assuming people are always making fast assumptions. Or not listening to voice of reason. Please stop commenting on my posts if you don't like what is being said then. I thank you and have a great day.

By the way if I was trying to run a scam or steal or make up
A fishy story why would I make a police report? Kinda being like putting myself in jail.

When I read your first post I knew you were going to loose. I've dealt with the USPS before, over an insurance claim. I paid the insurance when shipped, the package arrived damaged, post office told me the buyer had to file the claim, and the PO told the buyer I had to file the claim, and there it ended, impossible to deal with the posterior of donkey. Nothing is logical, except they aren't going to pay the money. Postal insurance is a scam. I've never heard of anyone collecting a claim from the post office. I don't insure any package now, it's just extra money for nothing.

Sounds like you are allowing yourself to get the short end of the stick. If you have the correspondence, you have a tracking number that shows undelivered, and you have a promise to refund, then you can get your money back if you go about it properly.

Okay, let me try this again...

The lie is on her part not yours. Do you understand what i'm trying to say here or what?

You said- The tracking number she gave me for the box when entered at the usps website is not available according to the usps.

This means that she gave you a bogus tracking number, comprende?

We were trying to help you out here and your getting all defensive instead of listening to what's being said. I feel as if you didn't even read my last response.

I'm an ebay Seller and Buyer and I don't recommend screwing anybody. There or anywhere else.

Frankly, I found Nickleanddime's account rather difficult to follow. It was my understanding the Seller didn't have a tracking number for the package after the first envelope was sent without the item.

You're quick on the trigger to accuse people you don't know.

Good luck to all,

Yes I have had the same type thing happen to me. And YES!!! if that carrier left the package anywhere other then an approved place then they should be fired..no if an or butts about it if you can not do a job you hired on to do you should be FIRED if you do not do the right thing an quit.
Problem with that he is a government worker they do no wrong and do not get fired...........

Keppy:

Actually, he isn't a "government worker."

And - rest assured - USPS workers do get fired!

Good luck to all,
