Trommel build

How many yards an hour do you realistically think you ran not counting clean up and what kind of pump?

Not much interest in trommels apparently. Comment is not directed at anybody in particular.

Based on what I've seen over the last several years, this subcategory should be merged with a different subcategory.
Maybe sluicing? Not even much point contributing its so slow.

aquatek she is beautiful. nice work. there are not many trommels being used on this forum for sure. I think they are overkill for most recreational situations, unless you plan to be on the same site for a while.. and have a site that will allow it... and can keep it fed....I use a smaller one and getting approval to run it was no easy task .. I would love to see some of your recoverys if you ever take some pictures. does Finlands gold look like American gold. lol.. best of luck out there. jeremy 20180603_065937.jpg

How do you feed the trommel in your picture?
Is that on your California claim?

either a mini excavator or by 5 gallon bucket. yes that's in California. I will be headed out in a few days for 3 weeks of diggin

Nevada county, near emigrant gap

that's down hwy. 20 about 45 min or so from my claim. its a 2 plus day drive for me . dig it up for 3 weeks and then 2 days plus home. nothing beats a working vacation.. I do it every year as many times as possible.

Hey. Very nice build, I’m very impressed.

I'm in the AZ desert so, I would like to find one that works WITHOUT water and about half that size would be ideal.

if you find one that works without water. please let me know... what size are you looking for

Sorry for not replying but I didn’t receive any message that there were new posts.

Not really interested in yards per hour as I have time.... we hooked up 2x 3” trash pumps last season and it was plenty 👍

John.
