Triple Merc's and a Motorbike

Andy (DD-777) invited me up to his neck of the hood woods today to detect an old property field. Beautiful old property but we soon found out the field was full of fill dirt. >:(
We then decided to try to score permission at one of the old house we spotted just down the road. Since Andy is a bit intimidating, I told him to sit tight in the car while I put on my charm. We ended up scoring on the first property we stopped at which was a mid 1800's house. Very nice people.
I dug a Merc right off the bat by a large Oak tree in back of the house. Andy was digging TootsieToys like crazy in a small radius close to one of the outbuildings. I scored a few more Merc's and some wheats close to that same outbuilding.
Also dug what looks to be an earring (?) and a 1960's (?) TootsieToy motorcycle. Very cool toy.

UPDATE: The motorcycle is a Honda made by Lesney. It was part of a cycle/ trailer combo in the 60's. Solved by "Diggin the Past".

My Mercs were: 1939, 1943 , 1945
The oldest wheat was a 1920.

Thanks again Andy & good luck to you guys out there tomorrow. If Joe digs any 1800's silver please hit him over the head with your shovel and leave him there! :tongue3:

P.S. I really like cruising in your Hispanic Titanic land yacht. :occasion14:

Re: Triple Merc's a Motorbike

You and Andy had a good hunt MM!!! That silver looks good. Did you insist that Andy let you ride in the back so he would look like your chaffeur-LOL? The wind felt bitter cold here today so I stayed in. HH, Quindy.

Very cool finds guys! :notworthy:
This is my favourite piece . . . looks like it might have
been part of an early 19th century English baby rattle! :icon_scratch:

Re: Triple Merc's a Motorbike

That motorcycle cleaned up pretty well. Find out if it's a Tootsie. Again, glad you came out and the silver sure is pretty. Looking forward to getting out again soon - there's plenty of potential in that neck of the woods... :icon_thumright:

Oh, by the way, "Hispanic Titanic"?! Okay Sasquatch Recovery guy - see pic below... :laughing9:

And the pretty little 'what's it'..could it be for holding something like maybe...how do I say....perfume...but not in the liquid form...oh heck..what's it called? :P :D You should know this. :-* :-*

Super Finds!
Always love Silver.
The motorcycles really cool, early clubman cafe racer style.
the logo on tank looks somewhat familiar, is it 3 tuning forks? will try to revive some brain cells,
it may be an actual brand

Re: Triple Merc's a Motorbike

Nice mercs,I think the bike is a old Ducati cafe racer :dontknow:

Re: Triple Merc's a Motorbike

Awesome looking place there Doug. I love those old chimneys. That motorcycle is collectible for sure. I'd display..... and play with that all day long!

For 14 bucks you could also get some action with this gal Debbie it says :laughing9:

Dave,
That is a fantastic guess!! You may have nailed it? I just put it in the "what is it" section to see what other guesses I may get. That picture you found is amazing, and I hope you are right. Thank you.
