Trip #2 to new site - Trigger guard best find

Went back to the site I got some buttons and and knicknacks but not a hint of a coin. :'( I guess the best find of the hunt is the trigger guard which is without a doubt the longest one I ever found and at least it has a nice design on the bottom. Not sure if I will revisit this site anytime soon, it was a hassle today getting to it through the woods and I did search it rather hard today and will scratch this one off the list as a possible prime return spot. On to the next new site next time. :D

I have no idea on the age of the trigger guard or for what type of gun it was installed on.

Here is another Trigger Guard that is almost complete that I found a few years back, have a few more but not so intact.
This one also has a decorative design on it.

Don I have found several designed pieces from different sites. It was obviously very common.
 

Nice find on the trigger guard, must be nice to pull one of them out of the ground !!!

Don, that is a nice piece of history you found. Too bad the gun isn't with it as as well. Nice piece of history rescued from the depths :thumbsup:
