Trinity County stops taxing claims

Stopped in yesterday to file my annual labor,on the way to reclaimanate, and went to the tax collector to see where is my annual bill? Was told by the assessor that WITHOUT DREDGING CLAIMS ARE VIRTUALLY WORTHLESS. Been sending him letters for years and finally drove the point home-don't let the ban run ya off as cheaper to keep'm now in trinity but Shasta still charging the insipid usury tax. Don't forget to pay tax as most counties won't let ya file your annual labor without them being paid first----- John

I dont think its there call to "void",them?I dunno?I am glad they define them as worthless though.I am betting they may be building a case to show lost Tax revenue?Probably a "smart",move as well because I am sure a lawsuit would be costly and futile to them?

went MDing for gold this weekend after four days and a sore back i broke camp
I stopped to get ice at one place i frequent when dredging and there was a new face there, asked her how bis was she said very slow and what happen to the other couple that tended the store during the summer (dredgers too) thay left for some private property, i notice rafting pictures up on the wall that were never there years past.
i said i guess you miss us dredgers
she said yeah but you suck up all those frog eggs and slit the river, i explained the winter run off and the rafters going in and out of the river so-on &and so-forth, so i said good bye and left her with a puzzled look on her face

went to the county and paid my taxes on claims. I was most encourage at what i was hearing both at the assessor and records office.

yep i dont do bizz with someone that wants to try to rub lies to my face!id post their store name up for dredgers/miners to avoid these kinds of stores!

I was thinking that when we were able to dredge back in the day there were a lot of stores in Downieville i would not spend money at, yup even then there was a trend goin on, when Ted passed away (only shop left in that town that catered to miners, dredgers )
The Indian Valley outpost, in the Indian Valley recreation area until those picture of rafters come down i ain't shopin there
the grocery store in Downieville those people hate dredgers if ya need to buy grocery's go to Sierra City 1/2 hour up hwy 49
and then them knickknack shops for tourist most are on main street, we don't have to worry about your woman goin into those stores right?

if you do happen to go to Downieville, and if its open get a burger at Coyoteville, just before the main town

so here's my thought lets get a post goin were not to do bis at

yup, the last burger i had there almost din't finish, evrytime i burp thinking dam that was good,(lookin around for bears).
i hear they have a new cook so i will have to try them out again, heading up to the claim Sunday and stayin for a week

Thanks for rubbing it in 2C. Here I am stuck in OK for another year minimum. Now we are going to double and weekend shifts, so I can't even get a day off to prospect in the Arkansas River. Gosh I wish I were back out in the Motherlode.
