I believe that's what they call a burin drill.

Can you explain this a little Solll? burin is a term I hear from time to time and to me it's confusing. I know what a modern burin is and looks like but cant see the relation in context to native technology.

The term burin damage or break is something I dont understand either.

I wish I knew for sure jamey. I've found local triangles that fit the description of many types...Hamilton, Madison, Levanna, and Hillsboro, it's really hard to say but my best guess says they're Madison culture, I could be totally wrong. If anyone can shed some light on triangle identification it would be appreciated.

A burin would be the shoulder of a point snapped off longways. In other words, the worked sides of that drill was once the working edge of a knife.

I learn to much here. I think you are right with Madison. Its not got the curve of a hamilton. I think you are right on your I.D. Good eye. I see finer workmanship on some of the smaller points than I do the larger. Way to go. I bet Dorkfish would know for sure on the point.
Take care.
