Trespassers !!!

Its interesting when people that advocate MDing on private property without permission take offense to this theft. It's essentially the same thing. For the record, I'm sorry to hear you were victimized by a POS thief, and hope you get some type of compensation in the end.
...... WHAT ' 'WHAT' " WHAT" NOT THE SAME MR HALO....We hunt deserted property......Or bank owned we love to do the pay back to banks..... For what they do to almost everyone..........

fox traps, trip wires and barb wire and some foot traps installed ,,,wish i had some claymores, or frags

I have a shed full of metal and I hve been lucky enough to not have any stolen yet. But when I did move to my farm I bought a brand new Husquavarna chainsaw and left it in my shed one night and it was stolen. Thats when I got a rottweiller. No theft sense.

I agree set up some 2x4s with nails in them in any field entrances you have right on the edge of the field. It should work if they come back. Also I am suprised they didn't care about it, god forbid it happens to a business or a bank owned house then they get involved.

well there is no fence so that sucks and i can't nail trap it as the farmer who works the fields needs to get in and out,, but we are both working together on this to stop this,,,,,,side note he has 1000 head of cattle and they all have names says it makes the milk taste better

How does he keep the cows in?

I have some 223 blanks for trespassers.

You'd be surprised how fast people jump in their truck when they hear gunfire.

Many years ago a teenager came into my yard at 3 AM and was stealing the tires off my car. Wouldn't have caught it, if he hadn't dropped a tire iron on the concrete driveway. Unfortunately for him, i own an AR-15. Didn't bother to call the cops. Fired about two dozen rounds at his heels as he scrambled down the street. Never had any other problems with looters and my neighbors are uncommonly polite and considerate. You don't have to actually shoot anyone, just have to let 'em know your not opposed to the idea. Next time, pop a few rounds off. Word will get around, and your looter problems will disappear.

keeps cows in other fields that are fenced, but the ones for crops are not

Go down to the local truck stop and get you some "Poison" placards, make some signs around the metal. If they are still determined, then just have it removed from your property. You can sue in small claims court if you have proof like pictures. Good luck.
Do not do this!.I have been in the Haz-mat business for 20 some years,as an operator and first responder. One call from a concerned citizen will have a gaggle of personnel and equipment on your property, not to mention the EPA and depending on where your property is,the Coast Guard. They dont take those things lightly, and hefty fines will arise.Like the above posts said, trail cameras sounds like the best idea, although I would like to pepper their asses with lead shot, that would also bring unwanted consequences.

I have heard playing music for cows will increase milk.
Not here in Wisconsin. The younger cows start drinking and joyride the tractors.:)

Definitely an aggravation. I have a couple of questions. You said you called the state police. Is that the agency with primary jurisdiction over your place, and not the municipal PD, county Sheriff, or BIA if it's Indian Land? What reason did they give you for not being able to do anything? Just wondering. Also, to those advocating indiscriminately poppin off dozens of rounds, keep in mind those bullets do end up somewhere.

State of PA sucks ,,they have to catch him in the act not me they say, even though it neighbors FT ZELLER , still waiting word on when ole lady was shot at and shot out window in car, and they have already done there monthly drive though in my town

.thats no just PA............Montana,and Calif are the same way...just as I said above
...also......I hope you are serious that you only set fox traps because I know personally of a case where a trapper was getting his traps stolen so he set a bear trap, and caught the guy...the trapper went to prison...and died there

put it this way i am sick off ppl running around on my yard and property stealing stuff,,,, i had put out my gas cans to mow ran back in house to use bathroom 5 min latter cans were gone,,, have had mail stolen etc........i have had all i can stand of this BS

Maybe I understand a little better now. I will admit that the law structure in the northern part of the country is probably way more different than what I have experience with, but they're basically sayin it was a misdemeanor crime, not committed in their presence, so yeah, they can't make an arrest. However, if you can come up with the numbers, the value of the property taken or the damage done could elevate that to felony status. Even if a misdemeanor, if you have some evidence, like vehicle ID, name of the offenders, photos of the damage, other witnesses, you should have the right to press charges, or pursue civil action. You may not have any of that, cause you weren't prepared for this to happen. If that's the case, you are prepared now. Do what you have to if it comes to it, but I won't advise you to go out there and go Billy Jack on some folks you don't know. If that does happen, remember this, I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was.

Heres what you do.First,if he comes back and if you have a highpower pellet rifle take all of his tires out.Preferably when he's to busy to notice and to far away to hear.Nobody carries 4 spares,he'll have to leave his truck and go for help. While he's gone strip his truck.
