My last three outtings have been pretty good to me. Seems like that little Ace250 is a silver finding monster...at least for me it is. I drove past a park and thought I would stop and just see what might be there. Well, I truly do not think it has been touched by anyone with a metal detector ever and it is old. I hit so much clad it was kind of freaky and only detected a very small spot.

I hit the local lake where the fireworks display was, along with about 8000 people, and hit a oodles more clad and a couple of silver rings. Went back later and hit a nice little sterling pendant with a cute pink stone and eyeballed a big chunk of raw tigers eye. There were a few more pretty cool stones laying around that I kept as well.
The big chunk of a silver necklace was found a couple of weeks ago as was the little turquoise ring and smaller necklace....Not pictured is another ring found the same day as the little turquoise..I couldn't get the 11 year old girl wearing it to hold still for a pic...Ya shoulda seen me trying to pry that filigree style sterling one of the Mrs. Hand. I have a bruise or three but dang it I GOT THE SHOT!

Hope you all enjoy!

P.S. I did not keep all of the junque I dug, but as you can imagine it was pounds and pounds.

Sweet Silver! Looks like the Ace is working well!
She seems to be on the mark for the silver....I am heading out to an old park and am going to dig some DEEP signals today on a roadtrip to the doctor. I hit it a week or so ago and just dug the more shallow signals as they were so plentiful. That is actually an understatement....Today? I am concentrating on those old, deep silver COIN signals dangit!!

Nice pyle of silver Nash.

That park sounds like a nice place to hunt. You know there is some gold in there somewhere with all that silver. The ace is a really good unit. I played with my Dad's about a week ago at a family B-day party.

He had his unit with him. I was finding clad and old wheats with it in my sisters yard. I haven't even touched the ace in about a yr. I picked it right up and was finding treasure with it.

I can run any machine just from detecting so much. Alot of power in that little unit. More than a bargain for your $$$$$

Awesome silver! I bet you will dig many silver coins, I think you may be right they are just a little deeper. Good luck on the re-hunt. Gotta love the Ace!

Nice digs, Nash! Don't know if its my spots, my Ace250, or just me, but I've found a LOT more silver jewelry than silver coins. Weird thing is, I had a really heavy 925 bracelet ring up as a choppy foil hit. Never have figured it out but assume it had something to do with mineralization of the ground or masking by junk that may have been around it. Either way, I'll take it however puzzling it comes!

Cool chunk of tiger eye, too. I've never seen the raw stuff before and am pretty surprised by how it looks. Gonna polish that sucker up? It might look good with your massive (and growing!) opal collection.

Great finds Nash! :D

I bought my brother an Ace 250 and gave it a try a couple of times. The first time, we found 2 live revolver bullets in a sand playground! :o My brother also found a heavy 925 silver bracelet that looks like your heavy silver chain. The Ace is very lightweight and seems to be good at finding very small things. It takes a little getting use to pinpointing and the "BONG! BONG!" sounds which are not as bad as the "Quaaack! Quaaack!" on my Tiger Shark. :'(

Keep digging the treasure!

Tom

Very nice! love the jewelry, hopefully my new ace will produce for me like that. It already blew out my old one.

congrats on the great day!

By the time I ended up leaving I had a half an hour to hunt. Not my normal time frame. In that half hour I got 9 Quarters, 13 dimes, went ahead and dug a dozen pennies. 3 of which were wheats...Seems like I am still on that top layer of stuff....I found the cutest little cowboyhat belt buckle that is surely from the fities though. Then I had to run.

I might just have a nice cabachon made and put it in the gold setting the EEEEWPAL I found is in...Damn that is one ugly ring! Isn't it odd though, that of all the small objects made of silver it finds, it is seldom silver coinage....Hmmm maybe a depth thing. I just don't know!

Lordy I hope you are using headphones with adjustable volume. You will get almost twice the hours out of the batteries as well as saving your ears! LOL

congrats on the great day!

Put in the housr and use your head and find some out of the way places and you WILL find some awesome stuff. Just don't let those days when nails, pulltabs, shredded aluminum cans(ring just like a dime) and lead fishing weights prevail get ya down! :P

Thanks for the comments EVERYONE!!!

Great finds Nash--That is some good looking silver.

congrats on the great finds ;D

Congrats on the nice silver finds!

Nice silver finds there. That ace will find it when you go across it. It was a good while before I found the first silver coin with mine. I was beginning to doubt it in the back of my mind. But then all of the sudden I started finding silver coins. I think it's just luck of the draw sometimes as to where you hunt. My ace is also very good at picking up the smallest thing you can imagine. I've hunted for five minutes with the target on top of the ground and have a devil of a time locating it. Finally finding it saying...Crap, it picked something that small???. Have a good one

Been there and done that...one thing I did not include in the pics was a single tiny post earring. I had a heck of a time finding that thing in the hole. I am beginning to think a pinpointer is in order for those tiny pieces!

A couple of folks came over from the valley and metal detected in a couple of parks with us one day last week and I found from watching them that those pinpointers are a Godsend! I was amazed at how much difference it made! I know I am wanting one now! :D :D
