treasure magazines

I have around 300 or so treasure magazines dating back to the 70's such as treasure, treasure search, treasure found, lost treasure, western & eastern treasure, etc.
I would like to sell them and am looking for ideas as to how best dispose of them....group them according to date, magazine name, small lots, or one big lot ??
And then there is shipping. I am in Canada and it would cost quite a bit to ship to the US. Is asking $2.00 each plus shipping too much ? Is there even a market for them ?
All opinions are greatly appreciated.

See the completed auctions on ebay for "treasure magazines" for
an idea on what they sell for. Your shipping costs will block most
US bidders from wanting them. You may want to sell to only
canadian bidders for that reason. Most sellers sell all copies of
each individual title seperately. Rarely do they get anywhere
near $2 each for them - they usually bring less than a dollar apiece -
but don't take my word for it or anyone else's word for that matter.
Look at the completed auctions yourself and then make up your
mind. good luck, siegfried schlagrule

sell them as grouped years.

The older issues will bring at least $2 each. You might want to sell them in lots of 10 so shipping won't be too expensive, unless you are in a hurry to get rid of them.

You may also want to check with the post office, they have a new one rate program; if it fits, it ships. I know nothing about box sizes, or costs. I do know that you can ship up to 70lbs with this method.

The man is in Canada and I've personally been charged $7 postage to
get a 45 record shipped to me from there. Ten magazines the shipping
would likely be as much as $20 US. Flat rate boxes can't be shipped from the US overseas at that rate and they can't be shipped from overseas to the US at the cheap rates. The flat rate envelope rate to overseas addresses from the US is $11 or $12 and may have gone up since the last time I used it. That envelope would have held three mags at the most. Ideal would be for him to get across the border with them and ship through the US mail system at media mail rates or flat rate. Simple way to prove me wrong. Buy his mags for $2 each and shipping. Tell us all what they cost you then brag about how much you sold them for. siegfried schlagrule

Thanks for all your input guys. I've decided to donate them to a detecting club here in Ontario for thier library. Too much hassle to get them across the boarder.
