Hello everyone,

My friend is looking for a good metal detector to search for precious metals in Syria. He owns several large plots of land and is willing to dig up to 2 meters deep. The goal is to find gold in ancient tombs, such as jars with coins and other artifacts.

Which detectors would you recommend for this type of search?

He is considering the XP EXTREM Hunter with dual coils. Would this be a good choice for this purpose?

Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone,

My friend received a link to this device. I’d rather not share my opinion for now, but has anyone seen something like this before? Does anyone understand the technology used?

I’d appreciate any thoughts or insights on this.

Link to the device: (Link deleted for rule violation)
Thanks in advance!

It is a piece of junk, fraud and waste of your money. The only treasure it finds is the money the fools willing to spend their money on it spend.

It also violates our rules to post links to non supporting vendors so it will be deleted.

I appreciate the clarification. I also believe this is a fraud, but I was just looking for more information to support my suspicion and explain to my friend why this could be a scam. I wasn’t endorsing the product, just trying to gather insights from experienced users before he made any decisions.

Also, how can someone even advertise something like this? I see many similar ads, and I can’t think of any physical explanation for how this could actually find anything.

Thanks for the heads-up!

As always, it is buyer beware... There's no magic shortcuts in treasure hunting, and no detector will detect a 1/2 mile away or 40 meters (120ft) deep.

Please talk your friend out of wasting his money if you can...
