Treasure Cove Metal Detector

Hi Gang, I have a friend in Indiana she is looking to buy her first detector. She is looking at the Treasure Cove detector I think is a litt over 100 dollars. I wanted to give her some advice but I haven't used anything but my GTI 2500.
She wants to spend 100-300ish any suggestions. She want to hunt beaches, yards, schoolgrounds for relics coins and rings. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

A Garrett Ace 250 is a good starter machine in that price range and a good machine for the money.

the 2 above are great choices and i will add the fisher f-2, $199 comes with 2 coils, the tesoro and f-2 handle mineral conditions better than the ace, the f-2 and ace have visual target id and different tone for different metals, the tesoro detects a little deeper, all good starter machines, cannot go wrong with any ot these
