got out there on a saturday a few weeks back and dug a trash pit in one of the oldest parts of washington dc. it was an 1820 house but i dont think i scored anything from that period. the marbles were all eyeballed but i did do a little sifting. i like the clay marble-not sure its age.

the frag came from an artillery battle area. my buddy ifoundit69 has been doing great at the site, pulling up multiple artillery rounds. we got out there last weekend and i managed to score this nice chunk here-enough to make the hunt worthwhile. hopefully i can tune my ear to the sound of a big guy soon...

Nice finds. Have you been reading in the Post about all the bodies that are being found in the Georgetown area? News says they are from the 1800's. You have more to hunt for than you thought.

Those clay balls look cool. I like old bottles also. I found one in my area a couple of months ago from the late 1800s and its a soda bottle. Nice finds.
