Trade beads?

These beads were discovered in a gopher mound in gold country ca. They were not in any kind of order as they are in the pics, just scattered randomly in the ground. They also seemed to be alone, nothing else was with them. I was told by a local that they are likely trade beads of significant age and not originating from the area. If anyone can give me a better idea as to what we have here, age, origin, use, etc. I would greatly appreciate it!

Great Finds! The reds with white centers are called "white hearts" and the blues are "Russian faceted" beads.

Awesome . Definitely look like the real deal. I have found blue faceted and clear trade beads like the ones you have.
I would guess that since they were all in one spot, they are probably associated with a burial. Sure nice of the gopher to bring them to the surface for you.

Yeah I don't think it's associated with any grave site due to the actual location, wouldn't make sense to be a grave where of these were found. I believe that they were stashed, definitely nothing else within several feet of where these were found. Is there any way I could put an age on these?

Nice N. California trade beads as far as age you have a mix of types . A lot of cremation sites have beads sometimes just a little knoll their all over the gold country . Also called cry's .
