town pump token ?????????????

Found a silver dollar size token...brass worth $1.00 good for food and drink at town pump . Address is 6345 no. western ave at devon. found close to a standing liberty quarter..date worn off . Can any of you guys identify . like new condition..just discolered from being in ground . has likeness of old time hand water pump one side and $1.00 on other. Sunny south was 30 degree today..and me out there digging holes in park. One of these days it might pay to get a real job . ;D

There are SEVERAL DEVON's in the U.S. one in MT. where the TOWN PUMP Stores are located
Devon, CA
Devon, CT
Devon, IA
Devon, KS
Devon, MT
Devon, WV
Devon, NY
Devon, KY
Devon, DE in New Castle County
Devon, PA

HOWEVER non of the Devons have an address of " 6345 no. western ave "

IF you have the address right, My guess the Token, MAY date to the same era as the Quarter,
and MABY the Location of the VERY FIRST "TOWN PUMP" Store in Montana.

? ? ? ? that is IF this is the same TOWN PUMP as on the Token.

I didn't Search DEVON, ENGLAND for the address

Re: town pump token ?????????????

Thanks for the replies guys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Jeff address is correct...was easy to read . have found so far 6 standing liberty quarters and a 1941 dime in this spot all have been fairly shallow...2 to 4 in . token was about 1-2 in . soil is " buckshot " heavy clay . most everything i find in this is shallow . acts almost like a boat in water . seems like they have been displacing thier own weight . Thanks again for info jeff . enjoy forum....merry christmas all :)
