Tough button ID

This is a tough one. Try enlarging the pic. Looks like a cuff button. You will notice an"0" around the perimeter with some teeny stars or bumps in the middle. Found at cw site. Sorry, it's the best I can do

I believe you have a Connecticut State button?!?!?!? Hope so, it is a long way from home... Check Connecticut units involved in Mississippi River campaigns, maybe that can help. They were there on riverboat flotillas!

Also found this on line, "Among the troops from the "Nutmeg State" that fought in the Trans-Mississippi Theater was the 9th Connecticut Infantry, which aided in the capture of New Orleans, Louisiana, as part of the "New England Brigade."
