We had a raffle at our detecting club for a slightly used Ace 250 with extra coil. My daughter Grace who just turned 10 was hoping daddy could win it for her so she would not have to borrow her sister's detector anymore. Well a good friend won it and that evening he gave it to Grace and said Happy Birthday! So needless to say she has been chomping at the bit to go find treasure!
We hit two chip bark tot lots today. She was very excited to find her first piece of jewelry. A neat little butterfly pendant. Her smile says it all! Grace got 30 cents and some misc, I got $1.17 and plenty more misc. Interesting we both found a 123 barrett in different spots. Not what I like to detect, but sure was a memorable hunt, and well worth my time!
