a few coins found since my last post.
1905.jpg
The rectangular 12-1/2¢ is the second one I've found. the original can be seen here http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,179786.msg1312026.html#msg1312026
I had an offer from someone to buy the first one, and I told my wife I thought I would
never find another 12-1/2¢ token so I thought I would keep it. The nex day I found the
second one plus the 2 geo. lord 12-1/2¢ ones plus a 1919 lincoln, a 1905 barber dime,
a piece of silverware, and crystal white token.

These are I believe, a couple of railroad pocket watches. Can't see it on the picture, but
there's an old steam engine etched on the back of one of them.

The coins here are 3 IH's 1898,1904, and 1907
lincoln's are 1915d,1916,1919s,1919d,1920d
The barber dimes are 1911, and semi key date 1892s. I had found the key date 1995o
last summer, so this was a nice addition.
The medal in the center I'm thinking depicts Gen. Phil Sheridan, but not sure. It says
across the top Wyoming-St Paul 08 and under the bust says Sheridan.
The token to the right of the medal is a good for 5¢ in trade on one side and on the back says
The Brunswick-Balke Collender Company

The bottom 2 are maverick tokens, good for 5¢, from Gualt and Carr, blank on the reverse.
I've found 3 of them so far, and they're not listed in the state token book.

I could be way off on this but does the 12 1/2 cents have some connection to Spanish coinage. If I remember correctly wasn't a one reale equal to 1/8 of a dollar which would be 12 1/2 cents. I don't know where I'm going with this.....I'm just trying to figure out why they would make a 12 1/2 cent token.

Again cool digs.

The aluminum coupon "Good For Two Cakes Crystal White Laundry Soap Free When You Buy Three Cakes" was issued by the Palmolive-Peet Company sometime from 1926 to 1928. Soap manufacturers Palmolive and Peet merged in 1926 to become the Palmolive-Peet Company and then merged with Colgate in 1928 to become the Colgate-Palmolive-Peet Company. This aluminum Crystal White Laundry Soap coupon is 1 1/4" across.
On this referenced site the price is $7.50 for the coupon.
