Nature's Child,
This thread is 6 years old.
The chances of the OP seeing this are slim.
It would be best for you to start a new thread about your medallion and see if anything has surfaced in the last 6 years.

Cool medallion non the less...

I found one of these medallions, along with several others from what I believe were the same series (the "abraxas" medallion and another I don't remember well) in one of my parent's junk drawers back in the 1980's. I later lost it and every few decade or two I dig through google trying to find the source.

The symbology was covered above so I won't add to that. The best info I've found as to their provenance is that a similar but not precisely identical set of medallions was put out by "Panorama" magazine in Italy ca. 1972: panorama-hagiel-300.webp

At that point Time-Life owned Panorama. My *guess* given how these medallions keep popping up, rarely, is that they were probably replicas of some type put out by time-life sometime in the early 1970s.

edit: the "Abraxas" medallion that appears to be from the same set, shares an inscription ("I AW A BPACA") with an item from the british museum: https://www.britishmuseum.org/collection/object/H_1986-0501-149

So probably some sort of replica set based on actual ancient amulets. Maybe a museum gift shop type thing?

2nd edit: found the set: vintage-ancient-talisman-pendant_1_f4bf1895f1581296f71d850799e63c7c.webp
