I like the medallion :icon_sunny:

Could it be some fraternity symbol. If so how would letters be read TORA?

your guess is as good as mine, I would think start at T since it appears to be the top, then go around clockwise. those are the only letters on it, I zoomed in when enhancing the pictures, the tiny lines are just that, lines....But a fraternity is a good guess. I was thinking start at the T and end at the T, as in TAROT. I was also thinking that because of the challis under the lines, many tarot cards have challises, animals and other weird symbols.
thanks,

TAROT. Like the idea with a full circle T..T, agree clockwise reading.

What would the symbols represent in tarot?

Egyptian tarot symbols.

At first thought left symbol was bow and arrows. Looks like a bulls head on a knife pictured left to right with an eagle eye at the tip.

What looks like a T and a H is known as the "Triple Tau", and is a Masonic Royal Arch symbol, as is the chalice under it. Not sure what the T A R O are supposed to mean. Great find!

Yup, theres the sphynx in the card in blue, the lion is at the bottom, I guess the animal to the right is the yellow griffin in the card(top right corner) the bull is on the right, ok so whats it all mean?...lol :icon_study:..... :icon_scratch:

Letters to be read in same way? S G L B.

G could be different E or F (eagle/falken).

good luck! Remember that the Royal Arch is from the York Rite, not regular masonic lodge (blue lodge).

Symbolism of the Wheel of Fortune Tarot:

Turning Point, Opportunities, Possibilities

In the midst of sky and clouds is the disk of Tarot with the letters of the Divine Name placed between. The disk is in movement signifying constant change and transformation. The sphinx atop the wheel holds the sword of discernment and represents balance in the midst of unending fluidity.
The Wheel of Fortune shows a wheel floating in the sky inscribed with the letters TARO and alchemical symbols representing the elements underlying the four suits of the tarot, Fire (Wands), Water (Cups), Earth (Discs) and Air (Swords). This recalls the emblems of the four suits of the tarot actually laying on the table of The Magician. Changes in station. Rich become poor, poor become rich. Sudden reversal of fortune. Strong Buddhist associations with the Karmic cycle.
Winged creatures are in the four corners of the card, a man, an eagle, a bull, and a lion, each with an open book. Depending on the tradition, they represent the four seasons, the four gospels, the four fixed signs of the zodiac, and the four angels of the apocalypse

Interesting info Gypsy Heart and I agree it's a tarot medallion. Would it be like a 'good luck' charm of sorts? Guess it would be difficult to pinpoint age of medallion.

and each symbol represents a season; summer, autumn, winter and spring.

it's not for good luck--more like wisdom & protection.
