Went to a nearby park to see what the summer/fall hunters left for me.
The coins had been cleaned out pretty good, the pull tabs, not so much. They even left dug tabs all over in the grass for some reason. :icon_scratch:
Got a working windproof lighter, a car, a tent stake, a vape, a carabiner, a titanium fidget ring, some junk jewelry and a handful of clad.

The necklace was in pieces. First I found the pendant, then switched to goldfield mode and located the clasp and the chain nearby. Unfortunately they're costume jewelry.

In case somebody doubts the stories of Las Vegas summer heat, check out the black 1994-d penny. That's just from sitting on the surface of the ground, it's not smashed. It's actually the same diameter as a nickel. I find them fairly regular here.

Nice finds! That is absolutely crazy about the nickel sized penny.

We get some "Texas" pennies here too. 😬 :laughing7:

thanks for posting, never seen a penny like that one, crazy

Well you were certainly looking for the "glitter" with the nickels and clasp/chain/pendant, etc.
Goldfield mode....interesting.
The zincoln has me puzzled. It must be thinner. Does the side that is down have any damage or difference in appearance than the obverse? and I assume all the copper plating is gone?

Good to see you out in the warmth.
Those pennies are quite strange.
Up north the metal has shrinkage.

Sucks when folks don't give a rat's ass about picking up their detecting trash.

Need a little educating sometimes.

Here's a pic of the reverse, and the edge. About the same thickness. :dontknow:
Gold mode is the only way the Legend will pick up a gold chain.

Makes no sense to throw the trash back down unless they never plan on hunting there again. :dontknow:
