Didn’t get to go out yesterday… but today we did, super sunny day temp at 26 degrees… set to be 32 tomorrow 😅… So we went back to the village field, and had a marvellous day! 😎

First off I found this little silver bit… the some cool buttons, a complete crotal bell, then I think what maybe a napkin ring (?) buckle bits, key, loop and bag seal, musket balls, more buttons and 7 pre dec coins.

I finally got to hot, so went back to the truck for water, and realised I hadn’t got pics for you, so picked up my gear and trudged back up to the top of the field took the church and castle pic and headed back to the truck, I was only half heartedly swinging as I could see himself was back at the truck, when caught a sweet 62.. dutifully I dug expecting lead… but nope, my reward was a bashed up hammered 😍…. How cool was that 😆 xx

You folks across the pond are lucky to have so much assorted history beneath your feet you truly live in a detectorist dream compared to where I am.i love seeing what y'all pull out the ground on a daily basis.some of you could start your own museum. Now there's a thought to kick around the old rusty bucket lol.

I'm glad you trudged back to take the landscape pictures! Have you any idea of the age and use of the buttons with the embossing on them? On one I see (something) for a king or queen and an R for rex or regina. Can you read those initials? I really have trouble with that script. Over here, I have only found GR for Georgivs Rex.
