Didn’t get to go out yesterday… but today we did, super sunny day temp at 26 degrees… set to be 32 tomorrow 😅… So we went back to the village field, and had a marvellous day! 😎

First off I found this little silver bit… the some cool buttons, a complete crotal bell, then I think what maybe a napkin ring (?) buckle bits, key, loop and bag seal, musket balls, more buttons and 7 pre dec coins.

I finally got to hot, so went back to the truck for water, and realised I hadn’t got pics for you, so picked up my gear and trudged back up to the top of the field took the church and castle pic and headed back to the truck, I was only half heartedly swinging as I could see himself was back at the truck, when caught a sweet 62.. dutifully I dug expecting lead… but nope, my reward was a bashed up hammered 😍…. How cool was that 😆 xx

Hi. Out of curiosity, what do you do with all the things you find? I'm imagining a shipping container full of finds right now. 👍

Ha! We have a 3 tier system. Tier 1 goes to the FLO for proper Id and logging on the data base, Tier 2 goes into the keepers drawers, and Tier 3 goes into the box in the shed….(scrap he gives to his mate to weigh in) xx

You have a lot, lot of history there. Its amazing my end seeing it keep being found. Our history is very short, no wars, no Vikings and finds in the ground are getting very thin these days. You must have an absolute ball there hunting. 👍👍
But don't worry, UKs too cold for me so you won't be getting competition from me. 😁
