Yesterday was a lovely sunny warm day…. But we were out visiting… so today we had to go out in the rain, as possibly our last chance before the fields are sown. 😒 farming really does get in the way of treasure hunting 😬 xx

We only had a few hours but I saved some more silver so was very happy. Himself got 3 more Romans from his patch, but I went back out in my field.

First off a brooch/badge, has pin stumps on the back, couple of buckles, another possible buckle bit, big chunk of bell metal plate, monster buckle bit, 2 muskets, door knob, only 5 buttons, couple of toasted pre dec coins, my first Roman from this field, a tiny tiny hammered, then this … it’s been completely clipped and nothing to see on the face side, but the back is very pretty 😍 xx

Congratulations on yet more silvers.
Clipped a few times for sure.
The other just a tad rubbed off.
You did well for the time spent out there, braving the wet.
I wonder if the Roman is one of what's to come.
Pretty 🌼
There's one thing that will keep the fields from being sown - rain.
If stays too wet, you get to play a bit longer.
Monday to mid Friday works, light breeze to dry a tad for Saturday.

Thanks Peps… no’s 17 and 18 for the year! 😆.. the Roman is from the field where a ‘Roman Enclosure’ is marked on the map… but as i say its the first weve found in that area. . 🤔… he says its another Constatine.. xx

Yes hopefully the rain will keep the farmers away for a little bit longer!! xx

The little yellow flower is a Primrose such pretty little flowers xx

Highly jealous blossom. I'd love to get finds like yours just once. Great job!

'' it’s been completely clipped ''

Yeap circulated for a very long time. They tend to be Lizzy Sixpences. (might be a bigger denomination if thicker/heavier) Might have been still circulating in the 1700s when lost.
