Another gorgeous spring day so as we did my field yesterday Himself wanted to go back and grid the Stater area… so that is what we did, and yes He found another 🙄 xx

A gorgeous Roman Fibula brooch, lead seal, buckles, buttons, musket balls, lead bits, I got a scrappy Roman and a toasted coin, we also found 2 gorgeous little horse shoes.

They will be ploughing this field this week so possibly the last time we will be in this area for a while, so this week will I be back to studying maps! 😆 xx

Old church yards are time capsules. Especially in England. A few years (centuries) older than any of our U.S. churches!

the fields are being contracted out to a Sugar Beet contractor, so no doubt he will have them turned around before the weekend. Never mind, we have lots of other areas to explore! ha ha… no idea what that is in photo 5, a tiny button maybe? 🤔 xx

They have just unearthed a Medieval Manor in that field in front of it… unfortunately we are not allowed to detect in there 😬 xx
