Today's shine found on the beach...
Tried the 11" DD for the first time on the beach. Hard to say if I like it yet and need more time with it. Definitely doesn't pinpoint as good as the 10" concentric but does cover more ground. The hand held pin pointer makes a difference and easier since the DD isn't as accurate in that regards. Found a nice little 10K gold ring on the beach today. Doesn't weigh much but shine is shine! Also a copper friendship ring and a lot of loose change.... not a bad morning all in all. Was also watching a fellow detectorist that looked more like he was swinging a pitching wedge then a detector. Looked like the pendulum of a clock hitting about two feet in front of him and then lots of air time. Followed him and picked up some stuff I felt he probably should have hit. Oh well, I guess his bad technique is my gain.
