Today's hunt, 4 old relic and 4 newer coins
Went to an early sawmill site that I think has been previously pounded by others in years gone by. No old coins today, although I feel there is one or two still lurking at the site. But I was happy to dig a few pieces of iron pot, clam shells and porcelain pottery all down at 10+ inches, so I will go back next time with my stock coil and give it a whirl.
Today I hunted with my ML 8 inch coil and got a beautiful geometric designed Tombac button, and very nice gilted design flat button (no backmark) a plain flat button with the backmark that dugfinds just mentioned in another post I think, LONDON GILT. and part of a shoe or knee buckle.
Ah yes, since it is very close to a housing development, the wonderful modern coinage was also in the area, so I ended up with 56 cents in change also.
