Went back to the site where I dug my capped bust dime, didnt dig much of anything at all. 3 flat buttons some bullets, and this buckle. Too bad it wasnt all there, would have been a sweet one. Why is it you dig so many buckle halves and can never dig the other half? Anyone tell me about what time period this is from? Im thinking late 1700's early 18's? Thanks for looking.

Unbelievable aint it? Everythings been early. Im not complaining though, we usualy dont get a spring, usualy goes from 30 to 80 overnight. So an early spring is fine by me.

Like the others have said a half of an early buckle is better then no buckle at all, Congrats!!
