I went out to a park again that has been good to me in clad and came home with $6.08 in clad, a metal boot thing that says harley davidson and a tounge ring. All of this was in an area about 50' x 50' I have a lot of that park left to go.

Here are the coin totals:

19 quarters
8 dimes
4 nickels
33 pennies.

I found 4 quarters in one hole, and 8 quarters, a nickle, 2 pennies, and that harley piece in another hole.

I got all of that about 90 minutes or so.

Good luck & HH :)

Wow!

Good stuff for 90 minutes!

;)

Thanks everybody. Tomorrow I am going to go back and dig up every signal that is left in the area that I just hunted. I was just going for coins today and was right on the money nearly every signal with knowing what it was going to be.

Hope you find the good stuff. Tsgman

I like it a lot, but it isn't for ALL areas while detecting...

I went to an old home site in the middle of a corn field. The whole field was hot rocks and iron. Somebody else was using an explorer there as well and depending on your settings, iron will null itself out and the whole field was silent because of this, haha. All I could find were hot rocks. I would blame the field though.

This machine is great for going deep to find coins in trashy areas. Though I am new at it, I have found several coins at 8" inches that were sitting next to a nail or a piece of iron. All of those coins were wheaties. I also got a tiny tiny piece of iron at about 16".

Pinpointing can be trick with this machine, but it's not impossible. If you are going to get this machine I would recommend getting the sunray probe for it and go out by yourself a few times with it. Then try to find somebody else that has experience with one and go out with them and let them help you out.

It does have a learning curve though, but once you figure it out you will be very pleased with your results, especially if you are going for deep coins. If you are just going for fresh clad and jewelry on the surface then I would say to try a different detector.

Sorry about the rambling, haha, I get lost in what I'm trying to say sometimes.

Today I went back out and found $1.89 in clad in the same spot. I also got the bottom half of a hot wheels car, a nail that was about 6" long, and the nail part was as thick as my pinky and the top part as big as a silver dollar.

At another spot on a hill where people watch fireworks I found 2 quarters and 2 dimes in about 10min and a water spigot. There was a lot of trash in the area and I didn't dig very many of the targets that were showing up.

Nice haul!! In the field you mention, were you running in iron mask?
Not trying to give a lesson here, cause I don't think I know one anyway.
Was just curious. Glad to hear you and the Minelab are hitting it off. WTG!! HH

Hey BSCO...Nice finds. Great quarter day. A good indication that nobody has cherry picked your park. Good luck with your returns~CO2 ;D

In the field I started out with iron mask on at -6. Then I continued moving it lower and lower. The only way to remove the constant nulling was to turn it off, but then it was just like listening to a symphony. I had no idea what to do. Any tips?

I can't say definitly what it takes to fix it. But there's 4 things that I would mess with at that site to see what effect it has. One at a time though and in whatever order you want. With so much iron, I would try going up on Iron mask, all the way up to 16 if needed. If it doesn't help, then I would go down on amp to 9 or 8. If that doesn't help Next start dropping sensetivity a little at a time, to see if it will stabilize. If your running auto ground, then I would try semi. The symphony part sounds like your overloading by running to much amp and/or too high on sensitivity. Causing false signals. HH
