Another cold foggy day here, but we headed out for a few hours… went back to the same field as yesterday and found a few more bits!!

Little pendant thingy, decorative piece, pot leg, lead weight, musket balls, lots of buttons, some kind of token, and 2 pre dec coins xx

Heading off for a post Christmas waddle with the bassets tomoz… hopefully we can get out on New years eve again, but the weather isnt looking promising atm xx

The little pendant thingy is the keeper of the day, looks like there's still some guilding remaining.
Well found blossom.
Hard to tell size from the photo, but, I could be a drawer pull also......or even a door knocker for that matter.

those are impressive finds

Do I see a "cartwheel" penny or tuppence? I've wanted to find one of those for years, but so far they remain elusive to me. Actually, I've never found a British penny of any kind, just ha'pennies. Maybe pennies weren't circulated much in the colonies.

sorting these finds today… noticed that the 2nd picture item above has Queen Victoria on the reverse…. 🤔… better pics…

Alas no cartwheel penny! We have found them before.. they are monsters!! xx

There's a big difference between 400 yrs of history and over 2000 years of history.
It's probably one of greatest places to detect.
True! I went to grad there but metal detecting that many years ago wasn't on my mind then unfortunately! Though we love our Canada!

Good hunting Blossom. The pendant thingy looks like a Georgian fob seal to me with the seal part broken off (assuming the size is right).

Similar one here for comparison (in gold).

Now that you provided the extra photos. Thank you.
I l thank Jamie for his ID of the Georgian fob pendant seal.

At least I had the pendant part right.😂
