I did two permissions today. Started the day at the 1850's school in the corn field behind it. The farmer harvested the corn on Thursday, so I figured it would be good place to look. Found a couple items.

I'll start with my bucket lister! I know it's not a great one, everyone has found at least one of these. But this is my first complete horseshoe. It's taken me almost two years to find a complete one.

Next a flat button. I haven't seen any back mark yet, but it looks like there may be one.

Not sure, but this one struck me as a ball button without the shank.

Next, I went back to my permission at the 1700's farm field. Found some interesting items.

A tube cap.

This was interesting. This cap was on a broken bottle top. The glass was sharp, so I removed it.

Your horse shoe was probably mounted over a doorway for good luck, as evidenced by the holes drilled near the ends.
Hope it brings you some good luck!
I was looking at the shoe this afternoon and noticed those holes are threaded. Must be where the cleats were screwed in.
