Anyone know what this is? Looks to be brass. This my very first find. Just opened my detector today so be nice please.

Welcome! People here are generally very nice. A little more info would help with ID, such as size, whether it attracts a magnet and anything about the context of the find, such as near a house, on a farm, from the beach, etc.

+1. Including a ruler, coin, or something to suggest size would help, as would supplemental views.

It looks like the right end may have been broken off(?)

Any marks of any kind (including wear marks that may suggest purpose).

So far, Lens thinks it's a bone.
