Todays find: The Police

the court house here in Roswell, is part of the city's park system. Therefore, it is fair game. However, a couple of the judges don't like it, because the Magistrate court rooms are on the ground floor. That's easy to accommodate by hunting on the weekends.

The school yards are owned by the Roswell Independent School District, and they get really upset if you hunt them.

Cool wish the court house in my town didn't have that historic mark or I would be all over it. But they put top soil over the ground not sure if I would find much old stuff anyway.. I just asked because I didn't know if all court house had historic marks

Heck I actually live in BFE here in rural Middle TN. Last spring I take my MD out on an old former county road which runs behind my home. NOBODY hardly ever comes up my road let alone this old abandoned one. A paper company owns several hundred acres boarding me and I know exactly where the lines are. I no more got started and a beautiful truck pulls up and stops. This guy gets out and he's INSTANTLY mad at me and asking me "what are you doing"? Soooooooo I explain the obvious. He is now very mad and yelling at me to get the hell out of here NOW!!!! I asked who he is and he says "None of your business". At that point I stood my ground and told him to get lost. He obviously is an authority figure 99% of the time with nobody standing up to him. He asked me what that was in my hand (my pinpointer)? But, I said a radio and asked into it "are you getting all this?" then I responded "Good". He just stared at me for awhile and then left... I took a pic of him and the truck with plate showing when he was walking away.

There's a doctor who owns several hundred acres way back by Duck River and this is the only way into the property. I found out he was the Doctor's brother later. And the Doctor's brother got into trouble later by planting the wrong crop. Point being.... even out here with nobody around... somebody is always around!!!!

Unfortunately detectorist have been stereotyped, much the same way bikers were unjustly stereotyped many years ago. Motorcycle manufacturers addressed the issue and now bikers are just bikers, no stereotype. But the manufacturers of our equipment are not addressing the issue, instead, many of them are even supporting the very venues who continue to paint these stereotypes. I don't get it at all...shooting themselves in the foot. :dontknow:

Yeah, those guys that grow cash crops way out in the pucker brush don't want anyone around to find their garden. The closer you get, the nastier they get. A friend of mine bought some timber a few years ago, and a famous rock band owned the adjoining land as a get away place. They were really po'd when he logged the timber and ruined their garden and drip lines.
