Today in the woods I found 2 old 1911 Boy Scout - pin & button, + more
I meet up with Twistidd and hunted for about 5 hours. We got out to my new spot and within 3 min's of turning
my tector on, I had a bouncy signal. I showed Twistidd so he could see what type of targets I was diggin for.
He swept the target with his M6, he said "I'd dig it". Well it was a 1934d Buffalo Nickel. So that was the 3rd
one that I have found - ever!!! Soon after I found a 1947s Jefferson Nickel. I was chugging along finding tons
of trash when I dug another signal. This time I was sure it was a coin, it was a solid signal on my SE, I was
hoping to get some silver again but I found something even better than a merc.!!! I found a 1911 old BSA
pin!!!! At the time I didn't think much of it, but when I got home and washed some of the dirt off I was
stunned to see 1911. To double check I looked it up online, sure enough it was made in 1911!!! I also found
a few buttons, 1 looks like an old BS. I just did a peroxide bath on it and it is also a 1911!!! It does say
"Be Prepared + pat. 1911". Well thanks for looking, good luck & happy hunting!!!
After peroxide, it is a 1911 (pat is at the bottom
