Asked this in one of the Nokta subforums, but thought I would ask here as well.
The Triple Score has three frequencies, 4 KHz, 15 KHz and 20 KHz the highest. I am wondering if this higher frequency would make the TS reasonably effective in searching for placer gold. Anyone know? I realize a dedicated gold machine and coil will do better.

Yes, with a small coil you should be able to find pickers at a reasonable depth using only the single freq. in All Metal.

Hi, yeah like Terry says it will.
My Terra with the 10" eliptical and 6" round at 18.75 khz can find gold no worries. 👍

Thanks fellas. It has taken posts on several forums to finally get an answer to this question. Appreciate ya!
I have found small nuggets running detectors with as high as 48 KHz to as low as 17.5 KHz and everything in between those KHz, the higher the KHz the better it is for finding smaller nuggets, personally I would not even be afraid to try the lower frequencies on the triple score simply because you just never know when you get over a nugget, the one thing you do need to keep in mind is to dig everything when nugget detecting even the signals that do not sound so good

Photos below I use as test nuggets but they were actually found with the Legend running 40 KHz in Gold mode, they also came up very close to Iron Range so dig everything when detecting for nuggets
