Today was a small reenactment day where there were 3 cannons and one mortar and some infantry. Below is the small mortar firing and my reaction (please keep the laughter at a low roar). It was a little louder than I expected:

In addition for the first time in 142 years a 2nd Alabama regiment flag once again was on Fort Blakeley grounds. The video is of the flag being unwrapped. I got a huge charge out of it. The sargent from the Union division wrote when and where it was captured as soon as they captured the flag. You can still see his writting. The guy talking is from the Alabama archives and he did a great job. I learned a ton about some possible campsites I have been hunting. He was very helpful.

Enjoy.

Awesome, Mike thanks for sharing with us. I still laugh about it, at the local re-enactments here I know that the cannon is firing but I still jump. It's loud, heard 3 miles away.
