$10 donation for toys for tots, $20 phone card for the troops, and $50 in toys I snuck into a guys car, since his family is having a rough time right now and I heard him say his kids weren't getting much this year.

It's not much from me, but count me in for 3.50 in pennies. I rolled them up and will take them tomorrow to Salvation Army. We are having a tough time this year too, so pennies are the best I can do for now. Bless you for doing this and I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

gonna try to bring some smokes to the detox i got sober at,, it's a tough
time of the year to be there, and smokes will help folks stay,, helped me..
i may speak to the people too if they let me......

So far $50 to the Salvation Army, and $50 to the no kill pet shelter.
Canned food already to the local food pantry and I searched out boots and jackets at the local thrift shops this fall and donated them to the Salvation Army for needy kids.
Am currently sewing fuzzy pet beds for the animal shelters, have 20 done, 20 more to go.
Will be working at the soup kitchen 2 days before Christmas to help get things ready for Christmas Day.
Made a bunch of lap blankets last summer, and will be dropping them off at the county nursing home. Some of these old folks haven't had a visitor in years. So if you have nothing to donate but time; go play checkers or something with them; or just sit and talk to them. They'd be ever so grateful just to have a listening ear

Your kind and giving nature, especially with your time, just amazes me.

I got an amazing PM today.

A TNet member from the midwest USA, who requested to remain anonymous,
donated $2000 to their local Rescue Mission.

WOW!!! TNet has some wonderful people.

I have added it to the total and just think that we have a lot of awesome, talented, and generous members here at TNet.

Boobydoo, you decide if this counts. Each July, I give a check in the equivalent of the year's clad to Mahaffey Camp, a church camp in central PA. Since I got my detector on July 21, 2004, my detector year runs July 21-July20 . My last donation was for $100 (I round up to the next $5) and I have almost $50 already for next year's donation. I can send them a check now for that amount if you'll count it on this pledge thread.

I had 10 rolls of pennies waiting to be taken to the bank; instead I took them to K Mart with me today. They wouldn't fit in the pot so I had to visit a 5th 3rd branch bank nearby & get cash. Dropped the $5 in the pot at Walmart.

I volunteered to "ring the bell" for the salvation army again tonight. If you ever need to have your spirit lifted just spend a few hours ringing the bell (www.ringbells.org). People are so generous and friendly. It was an honor and privaledge for me tonight and couldn't be timed better as I really did need a few smiles and friendly faces in my life.

I threw in 20 bucks as I hung the bell up for the night.

This particular topic string is very uplifting. Thanks for reinforcing that the world is full of good people!
