Alright gotta get it off my chest, and the wife's tired of me talking to her about it lol. Why is everyone down on people using food card? We both work, pay taxes and pay our bills. Neither one has a addiction or crutch. But yet because we use food card everyone lumps us into the "drug and lazy" category. Politicians, and older people all think that food card receivers are losers. The amount of money we make a month is just enough to pay our bills, insurance and health costs. So why shouldn't we use those food card? We've both payed thousands over the years into taxes, along with our family members. So why is that if we're lucky 200 a month in card matter to anyone?
Now here's my grip, I don't see SS receivers sending those checks back. Or that Medicare Medicare supplement payment they receive for those gaps that regular insurance doesn't pay for. We pay over a hundred every two weeks out if our paychecks so people can still receive all of that. But no one anywhere will say anything about it. People there are alot worse public funded programs out there then food card, or medical for everyone. Why does the elderly, handicap, or losers get to use public health care but the ones that are paying into it don't. When SS was formed millions rejected it, but yet today receive it. Kinda sounds like what's good for them shouldn't be for everyone else. Why is that? It's like going to walmart setting groceries down and paying for them, only to have the cashier take them and hand them to someone else. It's not right. If its a public paid program then everyone should get it, not just a few.
Also rooler always jump onto drugs, but what about alcohol? In my complex there's 14 apartments. 10 are on welfare and able to work, 3 are on disability and actually can still work. All are drunks. I mean they need a meeting type drunks. I clean the dumpster out on Tuesday and get 40 or more worth of cans out of it. So why is alcohol never brought up as a reason to cut spending into public programs, only drugs? That doesn't make sense to me. Maybe it's because I'm the age I am but my gen is lost. We will never have the opportunities that the older people have had. No jobs, never will own a home, outrageous medical and living costs. But we have to face it, and yes I hate it Terri ly but public assistance is a needed thing. But it needs a overhaul to clean up the tit sucking that is going on. Like I said if you work fine use it for a stop gap. But no more long term sucking.
Now I think things should be toghter as far as requirements. One you should have to work for everything. Yes drug testing AND alcohol testing needs to be done, but a little known fact is alot of gov employees don't take those same tests. So it's hipocritical to make the needy do it. Now I worked in a power bar where the bigs rubbed elbows, it would blow your mind what these people do. I've seen top business owners talk about firing someone on Friday as they suck a line up their nose off the glass table top. Cops so drunk they're being helped out puking only to state I can drive I have training lol. So until the two timing is taking care of on all fronts, then nothing will ever be taking care of. But please older generations cut us y gens a little slack, this country isn't the land of opportunity it was when you were young. Politicians quit riding the citizens and imposing laws unless you are going to quit. Business owners stop firing people for smoking pot when your doing worse. Like I said I've seen alot of crap from mover and shakers and it makes me sick how they impose the opposite into everyone else. This is America where our individual liberties and our right to live how we want is our choice. I apologize if I offended anyone but hey that's the great thing that first adment meant everyone loves so much. Well everyone have a great day. And try to remember everyone is just a check away from needing that help. One day even you might haters.
