If you are into relics, that's a really great find. It's an empty cartridge brass called a "teat fire" cartridge. I don't know much about them, but they aren't real common. I've never seen one, and yours is the first found empty brass that I've even seen a picture of. If you want to know more, I suggest you google "teat fire cartridge."
