Time to start planning some 2009 Hunts?

Do the wet side in the near future and do the dry side when the wet-siders could taste Spring. I don't think you are going to get anywhere near Liberty, Index, or Start-up. There are still active mines there and the creek alongside Blewett is posted with claims. Their not real friendly or maybe just suspicious. I think your chances of being confronted if you jumped out of your car with a metal detector would be worse than in a State Park.
Somebody do a tally and make a mailing list. We might need a huge park with all the interest. Nice Ribbon on your signature line. Maybe I ought to get my CBM and post it. Jim

Hi Grumpyolman,
I have spot on the west side that are barely accessable now. I belong to Bedrock Prospectors club in Puyallup that has claims on Blewett(Peshastin and Scotty Creeks), Index and the Naches rivers. Gold is no problem for me. I would like to invite you to Bedrock Prospectors for a visit if you want. It's the third monday of the month. Guest are always welcome. We also have treasure hunts.
Another Jim

Thanks for the complement there GOM. Seamuss where do you hail from? Hope to see you at this years WA hunt.

I'm from the Shelton area. I belong to Bedrock Prospectors, Western Washington chapter GPAA, Metal detectors Association of Washington, and Hood Canal Detecting club. Oh ya, Shelton Rock and Mineral Society. If I left anyone out, it's because I can only do so much with my retirement time.

It's hunting time, tag your it. Are you coming along quietly, or do I have to drag (all of)you kicking and screaming every step of the way. I can't get it all, I'd like to see the look on your face when you get some of it.

Central cascades for gold and jade and the rest of the state for pretty much anything any everything else. Jim

Bedrock prospectors is in Puyallup, WWGPAA is in Port Orchard, Hood Canal Detectors Club is in Belfair. And it would be very hard to loose this Leperchaun in the central cascades. Jim

ya I'd be (UP) or (DOWN) for a hunt I know some good spots to go may take some walking, as the roads are closed to autos I used to ride to trails when I was a kid and I know of and old logging camp and some old old structures. up around Mt. Hood lolo pass area

Let me know, Only Clad In Tri Cities, Ok one Standing LIBERTY, but i think that was luck, i love everett, and snohomish, Great Finds there!!

I found a old camp north of Tanner we could all hunt. Not sure if this would be a spot we could hunt until the snow melts. Does anyone know this area?

Seamuss, Tanner is located off of Hwy 90 south of the Snoqualmie. Found a place on National Forest land but might be a 'No...No' for detecting which sucks.

lasttoknow, Have not heard from Paul. He might have left the state or laid off. I need to give him a call to find out his status or plans for the hunt.

I never get seen with my detector in the woods. Ooopppsss, did I ever carry my detector with me. I do use my detector in other areas outside the national forest.

I am always up for MDing in legitimate areas. And I'm always ready for prospecting, rockhounding and what ever I can get my hands on(legally).

I'm making round trip road trips for the rest of the year. Be there or be square. I'll find what your looking for if I don't see you out at the digging sites.

Remember to fill in your holes. The environmentalist are watching.

Some of my outings are close to you. Silverton, east of Granite Falls. Money Creek out of Skykomish.

Most of the time, I'm prospecting/rockhounding with some detecting.
