I went to a community sale today and must have went to 25 sales, some of them twice. I thought it would be good, but only found stuff for my kid.
On the last stop, I saw a draw full of old silverware, but most of it was plate. I saw these spoons and they looked good and where monogramed. However, they were only marked PAT & 1899. They smelled like plated silver, but thought that might have been from being mixed in with the other plated stuff.
I paid $3 for all six. When I got home, I could see one said sterling. Whoever owned them polished them too much. When I looked closer I saw Tiffany. They are from the Ailanthus collection. Besides, modern jewelry pieces, this is my first Tiffany piece. Saved the day.
