Smarter to keep the vase and let it appreciate in value or sell it and use the funds to make more money with. 5-7k is such a small windfall to waste it on a depreciating asset that you would also be paying interest on. For the profit made on the vase, you would lose it the instant you drove that car off the lot.

More of a figure of speech to celebrate the big dollars, but if things and people in our economy don't get some employment going, it's going to get tougher.... A new high-MPG car might be just the thing if the $5.00 a gallon for gasoline comes to pass...even if you don't have a job to drive to.
