1820 large cent was my best find today. Also got a wheat cent and a dog tag. I had to chisel and chop every single target out of the ground. Never get much out of this area accept scrap metal. The last thing I expected was a large cent. And that is the 1st one for 2015. I had other stuff to do but got about 6 or 7 hours hunting in. This is one of the few spots that the perma frost is only a few inches. Otherwise I generally would not waist my time. This is large cent number 3 for spot as I recall. I lost count how many bottle caps, oil lamp parts, and lead junk I dug today. The large cent made it all worth the trouble.

Great addition to your finds collection. Any time I can dig one, I am happy.

Great find, I think that would make my day, nice work!

Yeah, we had a rain that shrank all of our snow and then caused it to harden into 6 inches of what is more ice than snow. If it was only snow, it would clear out pretty quickly once the thaw starts.

Nice! And it has a readable date! Awesome!

Great you got out and battled the frozen tundra! We are still in winter lock down...but one day we will MD!!!

Nice Old Coin from the past.

That is a really nice LC, and with a date on it too. Way to be trooper, digging in the frozen ground. Good show!
