Thunderbird/Phoenix Necklace? Added a larger pic.

Is there anyone on here that can help me identify this necklace? I have spent hours trying to find something close to it. No markings to help with that. I`m not even close to being any sort of expert on styles, meanings, etc. of jewelry. This is just so different and cool. Maybe someone on here recognizes the artists work on this. Any help/info is much appreciated. Just a point in the right direction would be great. Thank you.

Lori

Lori, did you buy this locally? I see you're in MV, there are a few artists in Cherokee. My husband has bought belt buckles & bolo ties from an artist there.

If you could contact General, he or his wife could help you.

for some reason that thing screams humming bird to me.

I have not purchased this yet. It`s in Arizona(I think)at this time. I just thought those neck/shoulder pieces were so cool. I just need to be able to justify the price. I already bought earrings to match ;). I`m being an optomist!! cant spell that word. Hopefully someone will see it and know exactly who made it and when! Thank you for taking an interest in this.

Really?? I had never thought Hummingbird. Peacock due to the head thingies. I had a ring that I never figured what it was, but ended up peacock due to the head thingies. Maybe I have a picture of that. I think we could start a bird post. What are the birds supposed to be?

how much they asking for it?....don't the seller have info in it?

Found the pic.

Bird ring,,,,

well, my thoughts are this....it is by no means a traditional design, so not old pawn, so no real age. It is not signed anywhere, so not made by a known native artist. I think 4 or 500$ is too much for it and it has a real chance of being Chinese or Mexican in origin. The auction site is being pretty coy about details too, which gives them plausible deniability.

nice looking and unusual to be sure...would you actually get much wear out of it?

Dont think i will be bidding on it,,you are right, not enough info on it for that money. Anyone want to buy a pair of earrings? haha just kidding,,i`m keeping them.
