Here's a link to what I believe is a non-colorized version of the silver round:
2007 Giant 1 2 Pound 999 Fine Silver Round Silver Eagle | eBay
At that time silver was selling for around $32/ozt troy. That round sold for $232 or $38.67/ozt. That would seem like a $6+ premium per ounce until you take out ebay/paypal fees. The net to the seller is closer to $35, or about $3/ozt over melt.
The price of silver today is $28.50/ozt. A 6 troy ounce round would have a melt value of $171. If you sell on ebay & assume the same premium after fees you are looking at a value of $189. There's nothing wrong with buying silver for slightly under melt if you are a silver stacker.......I just don't see a lot of return for that size investment if you are buying for resale. Am I missing something?
