Found a thrift store that was closing shop. Went in to look around. I asked they had any jewelry. The lady said they just have 3 bags of junk. She wanted $10 per bag. I looked at them for a minute and saw a sterling bracelet in one of them and bought all 3 bags. So $30 spent for one of my best purchases this year.

6 lbs of jewelry.

And this beauty that is ugly. If you want to look up the name it is N.E. made in Denmark sterling silver. They sell upwards of $500 sometimes more.

I love them too. It's a great feeling getting the hits. Our neighbor said today he got one from the same store a month back, he got a $300'sterling bracelet from it.

Oh wow same store really?? There could be a reason that store went out of business if the owner had been missing all those valuables like that!

overlooking finds like that no wonder their "out of biz"

Great score on those buys, You sure have good luck with the pm's at the thrift stores in your area, Here the owners of some of the local thrift stores are some of my main competition, Good luck and good hunting!..........Scott.

The one store jacked up their prices. I noticed no one buys it anymore. I only will if it is a good name brand. So I'm sure it will change here shortly. With the good finds.

We just got an offer of $450 on the necklace. Waiting for the guy to pay now! Our computer crashed last night too and had to get a new one, so selling that right now would help out!

Same story here. Thrift store owners and flea market resellers, main competition.

ps- Good luck on the sale isabella.

I've stopped going to thrift stores anymore. Goodwill is wayyyy over priced. And the others around are all junk and overpriced. I understand about making money but everything's giving to them!!! Why sell shoes for close to retail when their used. 5 bucks for a stained up t shirt? Then here's the real kick to the nuts. The employees get to take the good stuff!!!!! That's stupid to me, if they take all the good stuff then all that's left is the junk. People will stop going. But the prices are outrages that's my main handup. And now goodwill has a eBay type store and its really bad. Charge a dollar for shirts, 2 for pants and dresses. Any shoe a 1. And stick to the signs what the price is on housewares. Don't have .50 cents a glass then mark them 3 bucks. You can buy 12 glasses at Walmart for around that! Sorry been bugging me for a while. It's about time someone got over on them! Must have been over priced if they couldn't sell it but he could, and turned a great profit!

Ya, I can understand. I can't stand the ones that have the eBay print outs next to the item. What a joke! Have to go non profit for sure. Yard sales are always a better bet!
