Found these pieces today and could use your help with them. The buckle is 2.5"s long and 1.75"s wide. The clasp(?) is 1.5"s long and .75"s wide. The other piece is made of iron and has a hole all the way through it. It is about 1" long and .75 " wide. The hole had some black tar like substance in it.

All I can guess is the bottom piece looks like either a piece of a old double edge razor top or hair trimmer of some sort . Or it also could be the mechanical center from a double edged razor sharpener . It's in sad shape . Woodstock

Thanks for the help. I think there is some lettering on the "razor head". I will double check it. Can anyone put an age on the buckle? There are no maker's marks on it.

the circular object,is it threaded inside? The notch reminds me of a weel hub nut off a toy wagon etc.Appears to have slot for cotter pin.threads not necessary for this, just curious.

It is not threaded. It was full of a black substance. I wonder if the black stuff was old grease and this piece is a grease fitting of some type?
