Pulled these three from an old park in upstate NY. People's line steamers, NY state seal excelsior , and a Albany defense corps...in vary nice shape

Your New York State Militia button dates from the 1850s/60s. Post-civil-war ones had a wider rim.

The People's (steamship) Line button's backmark saying "Scovill Mfg. Co. * Waterbury*" written in large letters encircled by a ring of dots dates from 1880 to 1920.

The "Albany Defense Corps" button dates from World War One to several years later -- according to the following website, which says the Albany Defense Corps was founded during World War One as a Police Auxiliary organization in that city. https://archive.org/stream/albanyspartinwor01cohe/albanyspartinwor01cohe_djvu.txt
