Thoughts on drug advertising commercials.

We have a niece on the wife's side.
Takes this 💊 for diabetes, for weight-loss.
Lost 70lbs and now is living in the emergency every other week for serious issues.

If she would eat 90% less take out and junk food the problem could resolve itself.
I looked at your link Pepper and saw they recommended NOT eating take out foods. I also saw they said Jardiance was for kidney problems which I've NEVER been told I have. I got some bad DIRECT QUESTIONS upon next visit.

Eating issues are extremely tough. There are so many causes. Some need psychological help. They eat to replace something they are missing or avoiding. The best time to diet always seems to be tomorrow for many folks.

Glad to hear it's helped you. You obviously needed it and it worked. I'm not at all against any drug as they all have a purpose. And I would take a prescribed drug and have with Jardiance being it. But when I inquired on the reason why I'm on it none was forthcoming. I'm not diabetic nor have been told I have a liver problem. I feel great (today) health wise and did before Jardiance. I've taken it for going on a year in March. I can't tell any difference nor have I lost weight. I was just astonished my last appointment Dr. couldn't look at my chart history and tell WHY it was prescribed. But I have nothing bad to say about Jardiance and I'm glad it worked for you...!
It affected my appetite, and basically I'm just not very hungry anymore, and I eat just little bits here and there and I don't think about food like I used to... I used to love Chinese buffets, now if we go out to eat, I order a regular plate and eat less than half and pack the rest for home... (Or let my wife order a plate and we split it)
It's just different now... I'm assuming it was the Jardiance but it was completely unexpected as they did not give it to me for weight loss but for Diabetes. I did not even know that weight loss was a side affect, but after googling it found out that some people lose up to 25% body weight ....

Another fun fact about big pharma is they make up diseases so they can sell there drugs. The term ED didn't exist before they needed a way to sell Viagra. Also the "healthy" numbers for things like high blood pressure and cholesterol are made up by big pharma and consistently lowered so they can sell more meds.

Agreed. What used to be a healthy blood pressure reading when I was younger is now high or borderline. Doctors just push to put people on prescriptions for everything these days, rather than address what causes the issue (if there even is an issue) in the first place.

Well I just got off my ass and got out my little blood pressure machine. I used to have to take my late wife's every morning and evening. Mine is 127/74 & pulse @ 75. So I looked up a graph and see mine is on the high side of normal. I think I'll continue taking it every morning and evening until next Dr. appointment. If robertk is correct mine would probably be considered normal years ago.

Read this and then reread it again.
Now really think about these drugs.

Things change, it use to be cigarettes were thought safe, now we know they are not. Use to be every family cooked with lard, now we know it is extremely unhealthy for us.

The average life expectancy in 1900 was 47, in 1950 it was 66, and
today it is 79. This is due to multiple factors including advances in medicine, including drugs, vaccines, and antibiotics.

I take meds for my high blood pressure and my diabetes and they are working with no side affects. We each have the choice to take or not take what is prescribed. A couple of my meds prescribed I don't take for different reasons, but it is my choice and others may chose to take them.

Just my opinion....

Now I got a question about that last sentence.. Why would anyone..? Overactive production? There's probably a TV ad for that also if I paid attention more.
Instead of simply changing one's intake down the pie hole.
Let's take a magic 💊

Then the incorrect eating habits can be continued Instead controlled.

Denying one's own personal choices is one of the hardest things for this species.

The big corporations control the food chain = also are big Pharma.

They have no interest in a healthy nation. Really for what purpose would that serve the bottom line 🤔

Not bad says Dr. Brad. But I am concerned about that heart rate messing with your monthly menstrual cycle sir. That's worse than my possible vaginal yeast infection your concerned about from Jardiance. Let's move on...!!!!! (pepperj / Limitool feud)

That's pretty good. Here's mine after walking around Wal-Mart a couple weeks back and stopping at their little machine thing.

My resting heart rate is 47 (I tell my wife if I was an healthier, I'd fall over.). I shoveled snow for two solid hours this morning and heart rate only averaged 103. (My watch keeps track of such things, otherwise I'd have no idea.)

That's pretty good sir... especially that ol' heart. Let's hope it holds.

Well done sir.

One can fool a fool, but the numbers will be the truth.
I had a bit of an attitude on my last lung specialist visit.
My heart rate was 48 🤣
Alarm was ringing.
OK 👌 I will bump that up.
52 the Alarm shut off.
